About Jon Seaman
Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Jon started writing songs in his early teens. But he never really pursued his talent until he visited his current home, Eureka Springs, Arkansas. While there he saw how encouraging the locals were of new musicians and writers. He participated in and hosted "open mikes" for a few years to get his "chops". Over the last thirteen years he has recorded and produced a dozen or more albums of himself, and some with other locals such as Roger Johnson in their two-man band "Coalition" and "Hoot 'n Holler" with former Mountain Sprout guitarist and singer "Coy Dog" Smith. Jon is also an accomplished Washtub Bass player having played with several bands over the past 2 years: The Double Zero Band, The Rebel Hounds, Mountain Sprout, Hoot 'n Holler, The Blackout Boys, The Skinny Gypsies and The Jerry Jones Band He has also ventured into the movie production area, creating DVD's of local bands and events.
