BCA Oh yes.

Working on a few few package shows for March with Antiseen, Joe Buck Yourself and The .357 String Band on the same bill. Now, that's one helluva show! I need a name for that tour. Open to suggestions. Continue

BCA .357 hangover

Went and saw The .357 String Band last night in Little Rock, AR at one of my favorite venues, The White Water Tavern. That place has a lot soul... especially on Tuesday nights when they roll out dollar drafts and tend to pack the joint out. The White Water also prides itself on taking excellent care of touring bands. There aren't many of those type of places left. Anyway, 357 rocked despite some problems with the sound. I filmed some of the show and will post the footage up when ever I get arou… Continue

The Virgo 9 We went to Winston-Salem & The Kitchen Sink Stayed Home

It didn't rain. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that for the past year, it has seemed the skies have been holding back until we have a show. Okay, I'm not narcissistic enough to believe in some sort of divine conspiracy, but when it isn't raining, I take note. It was cold as all holy hell, but you take what you get. And, I suppose you northerners wouldn't call 50 degrees all that cold. We made it to Winston-Salem with relative ease. To my surprise, Darby didn't bring the kitchen sink. She… Continue

BCA Tech Tips and Tours Updates

If you haven't heard, Open Office 3.0 is out. If you don't know what that is, its a free word processing program that will do everything that Microsoft Word will, plus ITS FREE! My friend Doug has been a long time advocate of open source software and first turned me onto the idea as he is a Linux user. Anyway, don't waste your money on those heavy handed and $$ Microsoft programs, you can download many of the equivalent programs for free and just as easily open Microsoft programs. Since I left… Continue

The Virgo 9 Yo, Ho, Ho & A Carafe of Coffee!

You know how sometimes what seems like the last straw turns out to be the best thing that ever happened to you? In retrospect, that pretty much sums up our recent trip to Wilmington. Colonel Kim decided she wanted to go along on our road trip and we were happy to have her along on the adventure. That’s the beauty of being a three piece. There’s always room for company! Kim insisted on getting a loaner van, but the van showed up with out seats. So we didn’t have the van. Then we did have the van… Continue

The Virgo 9 Cherry has been Saved!

I'm in a rightfully foul mood. My life and my past have geared me to be one tough cookie. I always get up and dust myself off letting the anger turn to energy. But, the thing is, I'm not really that tough. Yup, I said it. I'm actually quite the thinker and feeler and I try to put all of my emotions into my projects rather than lash out at the world. Despite having the magic social talker button I can push on demand to cover the thoughts behind my eyes in smiles and complements, I tend to be a he… Continue
